Too Much Good Music? Never. Hadouken & The Binges on 2/11

Let’s rewind three weeks – I kept getting phone calls and emails from people asking about this, then unknown to me, band called Hadouken.  After about the ninth inquiry, I decide to take a closer look at the band.  By the time the first song finished, the phone calls and emails were justified. Ladies and gents, let me introduce you to Hadouken – a five piece electronic dance punk group from London.  Musically, it’s comparable to Prodigy and maybe even The Chemical Brothers but with more grittiness.   Their new album, ‘For The Masses,’ was released on January 25th and has been on rotation in the Viper office for 2 weeks now; I’m pumped to see what kind of energy they bring to their live performance.  The show on the 11th is (1) a FREE show, and (2) one of three North American dates before they tour Europe, eventually ending up in Indio to perform at Coachella.  Considering it’s a free show, you can’t make excuses for not coming. Check out the video below and see them live on Thursday.  Hadouken plays at 8pm, so make sure to get here early.

And as if Hadouken isn’t enough, The Binges are playing later in the night as well!  This band, hands down, exemplifies rock ‘n roll in a major way. It’s easy to notice the almost cult following they have, and it makes you wonder why. Well actually, once you’ve seen them live, you won’t question it.  They ARE a live band, always providing a high energy rock show — Mayuko and Tsuzumi Okai (two sisters from Japan) seriously shred on the bass and guitar. Every Binges show will leave your thirst for rock quenched.

Support new music. See you Thursday!
